The concept for this Summer Solstice celebration combined a Moroccan Night Market with traditional Spanish fare. The handmade gypsy inspired bar was the first piece that came together on this project and was the basis for the rest of the design.
I sought out rich colors, countless brass candle holders and brightly colored bottles to transform this horseshoe fire pit into a lush tented pillow lounge complete with hookahs. Every outdoor event includes my signature nomadic living room and the vintage green floral couch was its focal statement piece.
This 90+ year old house where I currently live is located in Grant Deming's Forest Hill Neighborhood on land formerly owned by John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
Despite the fact that I rent this home, I have treated it as my own. I have filled it with the vintage finds that are most near and dear to my heart. PhiliPoly Phest is a celebration of Filipino and Polynesian food, music and culture. A traditional Lechon style pig roast was complimented with Polynesian themed cocktails and Filipino dishes.
The inspiration for my design was BRIGHT SUMMER COLORS. I sought to bring harmony to the scene by combining painted rattan, floral prints and bright inflatables with wicker, bamboo and tropical plants.
Guests were transported to an island oasis with tropical drinks at the Tiki bar, steel drum playing in the background and traditional cuisine laid out across giant banana leaves.
The holiday season is my favorite time of year. I love getting together with friends and family and sharing a meal. I never like to duplicate a design so each year I decorate my home differently. For this particular party I envisioned a Wes Anderson meets Dr Seuss HOLIDAY UNIVERSE.

This bay front rental in Pacific Beach, California was in need of a makeover to raise its Airbnb profile and increase rental income.
My inspiration is a mixture of Southern California Beach Culture with Balinese and Danish Mid-century Modern furniture. Throughout the oasis you will find carefully selected eucalyptus, teak, bamboo, cedar, and rattan elements.
Awash in white and brilliant colors, the space is adorned with a wide array of art and furniture from local San Diego artists. I wanted to maintain a strong connection to the thriving local beach and art community.
